Boca Raton Drug and Alcohol Rehab
Is your life currently being run by alcoholism or drug addiction? Are you feeling incredibly hopeless or lost?
You do have an option. You did not ask for your addiction. Help is out there, however. Treatment is available. For the alcoholic or addict in Boca Raton, all you have to do is make a phone call to (352) 771-2700. Seeking treatment is the most important thing you can do.
You should never be ashamed to ask for help. In order to stand up and ask for the help and treatment you need to begin your long-term recovery from your addiction, you will have to find some courage. If you want your life to crumble around you or if you want to be selfish or cowardly, you shouldn’t ask for help. If that is not the case, however, you should do the right thing. Make the right choice.
What You Need to Know About Medical Detoxification
Certain substances require medical detoxification for any patient who has become addicted to them. Patients that need to go through this process will need to rid their bodies of the harmful substance.
Those who are addicted to any of these substances and/or medications might require detoxification before they can begin a rehabilitation program:
- Sleeping medication (Ambien, Lunesta)
- Pain medication (OxyContin, Vicodin)
- Benzodiazepines (Xanax, Valium)
- Narcotics (codeine, morphine)
The Different Treatment Programs
When considering treatment programs, The Recovery Village, our preferred treatment provider, has a number of different choices.
Intensive outpatient program (IOP)
The patient does not have to stay overnight but he or she is still in rehab all day.
Partial hospitalization program (PHP)
Rehabilitation that also serves as a hospitalization for patients to stay overnight.
Like the PHP program, patients stay all night with a little less monitoring.
Patients do not have to stay overnight and there is a little less involvement than IOP.
Recovered addicts or alcoholics are provided with a plan to prevent relapse and continue recovery.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
About 8.1 million adults have both substance abuse disorders and mental illnesses, according to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health in 2015. In the past year, 48 percent of this group received either substance abuse treatment and/or mental health care within the past year.
Seeking treatment is even more essential for those who have a dual diagnosis. Mental illnesses can destroy your entire life if you aren’t careful, and substance abuse issues can also destroy your entire life if you don’t take control. With both mental illnesses and addiction, you absolutely have to seek professional treatment.
“When everyone in my life—my parents, my aunt and uncle, my friends, my boyfriend—sat me down six months ago and had an intervention about my drinking, I thought they were joking. How could my drinking be a problem? Everyone drinks. I never thought I was an alcoholic. Reluctantly, I agreed to enter into a rehabilitation program at The Recovery Village. I was a skeptic for the first few days. I refused to let myself be helped because I didn’t really want to give up drinking. But after a few days, I had a breakthrough in one of my group sessions. After that, the rehabilitation program became the best thing I have ever done. Now I almost have 30 days sober. It has been hard, but it has been worth it. I never would have thought I could do it, but The Recovery Village staff showed me that I could.”

“I highly recommend The Recovery Village for medical detox. I was coming off of benzos, which is a horrible thing to come off of. I had been addicted to Xanax really bad. The people at The Recovery Village really helped me.”
